Submitted photo Greg Manfredi and Beau Doerr scored individual weightclass titles to help send the Gulf Breeze High School wrestling team to an inspired secondplace finish in the Panhandle Championships Jan. 20-21 at Mosley.

The Dolphins amassed 195.50 points to trail only Wakulla (230) in the final team standings.

Manfredi captured the 126- pound division by dropping Bozeman’s Johnathon Kenny in 2 minutes, 53 seconds.

Doerr, wrestling in the 138- pound division, won an 8-2 decision over Travis Hinsey of Wakulla.

Additional medal winners for Gulf Breeze included Blake Doerr, Nick Staviski, Zack Middleton, Kody Kelley and Austin Droogsma. Blake Doerr dropped an 8-4 decision to Bill Morgan of Wakulla in the 120- pound division title match; and Middleton lost 9-4 to Brian Guidry of Fort Walton Beach in the 152-pound final.

Kelley scored a 3-1 decision over Choctaw’s Shamar Johnson in the 160-pound class. Staviski lost by fall in 4 minutes,

50 seconds to Cody Pickren of South Walton in the 113-pound weight class.

At the junior varsity level, Gulf Breeze medal winners included Dylan Blass, Peter Hahn, Caleb Homa, Hunter Byrne, Harrison Kase, Ian Scroggin and Hunter Clayton.
