Teens report local attack

Gulf Breeze Police are searching for a man who a group of teenagers say attacked one of their group at the Live Oak Shopping Center on Saturday, Feb. 27 between 9:30 and 9:54 p.m.

One of the teens had a laser pointer that he was playing with when a man warned them to stop. The man is described as being a 6-foottall, 40-year-old white male with salt and pepper hair and wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants. Later, the boys were still playing with the laser when the man came out of Niki’s Pizza. He approached two of the boys while the others watched. He then alleged grabbed one of the boys by the neck and shoved him against a plateglass window.

Gulf Breeze Police also responded to these incidents between Feb. 15 and March 1:

¦ On Monday, Feb. 15, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft. The vehicle was later recovered from Pensacola and apparently had been taken without permission by the owner’s friend. No charges were filed.

¦ On Wednesday, Feb. 17, a massage table valued at $495 was reported stolen in the overnight hours from Gulf Breeze Aerobics and Fitness. There was no evidence of forced entry.

¦ On Thursday, Feb. 18, a homeowner reported that someone stole items valued at R18,000 from a garage between Jan. 1 and Feb. 18. Taken were a bicycle, drill, silverware, boat GPS, fishing poles, tennis racket, two kayaks and CDs.

¦ On Saturday, Feb. 20, a person parked near the fishing pier on Pensacola Beach Road reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle between 4 and 5 p.m., removing a stereo and CD player valued at $425.

¦ On Sunday, Feb. 18, a resident on Montrose Boulevard reported the theft of approximately $1300 worth of fishing gear from a boat house.
