Local teen hit by truck A Gulf Breeze teenager was seriously injured Thursday, Jan. 28 when she was hit by a pickup truck on Gulf Breeze Parkway near Sanibel Lane. Jessica Odom, 15, was struck at approximately 6:45 p.m. as she attempted to cross the westbound lanes of U.S. 98 from the roadway’s north shoulder. A Toyota pickup driven Timothy K. Hartigan, 54, of Pensacola, struck Odom, thrusting her into the median. Odom was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the investigation was continuing. The crash report also indicated that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. |
