      The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is warning revelers who plan to get slammed during the Krewe of Wrecks Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, Feb. 14 on Pensacola Beach they might wind up in the slammer.

3,000 expected for Double Bridge Run
      The 13th Annual Double Bridge Run is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6. Now in its 13th year, the race is expanding to add an expo, and a renowned speaker. Running legend Dick Beardsley will be a guest speaker at 5:30 PM Friday, Feb. 5, the evening before the run at the Hilton Gulf Front Pensacola Beach.

      Scott Wheatley of Gulf Breeze has a vision. He told the Santa Rosa Island Authority he sees a star studded concert on Pensacola Beach next October that could attract 30,000 to 50,000 visitors. Wheatley presented an intricate power point presentation detailing concert setup, parking, transportation, security and more.
