The Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin volleyball team had six chances to take game one in their Region 1-4A championship match with Jacksonville Bishop Kenny. But the Lady Crusaders staved off all six and went on to a 28-26, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21 win over Gulf Breeze Saturday. More ... Jen Pfeifler led the Lady Dolphins with a time of 21:43.42, good for 26th overall. Kathleen Costers was 40th (22:30.77), followed by Samantha Welsh (60th - 23:26.57) and Heather Haney (71st - 24:05.32). More ... Ross Gunn closed out a stellar career with a pair of top five finishes at the 3A state meet Thursday in Orlando. Gunn finished third in the 100 yard backstroke and fifth in the 100 yard freestyle at the Central Florida YMCA Aquatic Center. Gunn swam a 52.19 in the 100 back and a 47.11 in the 100 free. More ... On Friday and Saturday, November 20-21, The Club in Gulf Breeze hosts a fundraising tournament for the Special Olympics of Escambia and Santa Rosa.
