SHARON LEWIS

Sharon Lee Frey Sigafoose Lewis, 72, of Gulf Breeze, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009.

Lewis Lewis was born Oct. 26, 1937 in Great Bend, Pa., and graduated from Brunswick (Md.) High School. Sharon and Preston (Ike) Lewis were married for 53 wonderful years. After Ike retired from the Air Force in 1975, the Lewis family discovered Gulf Breeze while on vacation and promptly decided to call it home. Sharon retired as a civil service employee.

Lewis was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Elizabeth Eury Sigafoose; father, Donald Edward Frey; and stepfather, Joseph Maylon Sigafoose.

Sharon is survived by husband, Preston Lewis; three children, Preston Lee (Mike) Lewis II (Liz), Stephen Edward Lewis (Terri), and Sharon Lewis Armstrong (Cliff); five grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Light (Michael), Stephen Gregory Lewis, Melissa Marie Lewis, Clifford Ryan Armstrong, and Robert Joseph Armstrong; two sisters, Joanne Sigafoose Bullock (Charles) and Cynthia Sigafoose Hebb (Gary); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov.13 at Saint Ann Catholic Church.

The family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Covenant Hospice in her memory.
