      Gulf Breeze Fire & Rescue For the week of Nov. 7 through Nov. 13, Gulf Breeze Fire & Rescue was called for 16 emergencies. These incidents included 7 medical calls, 1 public assistance, 1 public assistance, 1 hazardous condition, 2 hazardous materials situation and 2 water rescues, 1 land search for a missing person and 2 cancelled en route.

      Lt. Rick Hawthorne of the Gulf Breeze Police Department reported these incidents between Nov. 9 and Nov. 16: ¦ In the overnight hours of Nov. 11-12, a North Sunset Drive resident reported that a tailgate was stolen off a pickup truck.

Officers suspect seizure in bridge crash

      From special reports Gulf Breeze Police Department officials still are trying to determine the cause of a violent three-vehicle crash that occurred on Thursday, Oct. 29 on the Pensacola Bay Bridge. The incident was actually two separate accidents, according to Lt. Rick Hawthorne of the Gulf Breeze Police Department.

Bus drivers get raises; Beck unavailable
      Santa Rosa County school bus drivers working for Durham School Bus Services will be getting a raise. The company notified its 200-plus bus drivers last week they would be receiving a 3-percent raise retroactive to the beginning of the school year. For most drivers, that amounts to about 33 cents an hour.
