Pensacola Beach salutes the Brave

Flag-bearers endure strong winds that whipped the area during the aftermath of tropical storm Ida as the Pensacola Beach Veterans Day Parade made its way through the streets. Joe Culpepper/Gulf Breeze News Flag-bearers endure strong winds that whipped the area during the aftermath of tropical storm Ida as the Pensacola Beach Veterans Day Parade made its way through the streets. Joe Culpepper/Gulf Breeze News A small turnout the day after Tropical Storm Ida canceled school and closed businesses didn’t diminish the message of the annual Pensacola Beach Veterans Day parade.

Several parade entries saluted all branches of the United States Armed Forces as the parade wound its way from Avenida 10 to the Gulfside Pavilion, where retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Ron Christian delivered a brief message of appreciation to all veterans and active-duty military personnel.

The annual parade is sponsored by the Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge.
