      Lt. Rick Hawthorne of the Gulf Breeze Police Department reported these incidents between Oct. 13 and Nov. 2:  On Tuesday, Oct. 13, a Soundview Trail resident reported that a small amount of cash was taken from an unlocked car.

      Gulf Breeze Fire & Rescue For the week of Oct. 24 through Oct. 30, Gulf Breeze Fire & Rescue was called for 19 emergencies. These incidents included 7 medical calls, 4 motor vehicle accidents, 2 activated alarms, 1 vehicle fire, 1 hazardous materials situation, 1 water rescue and 3 dispatched and canceled en route.

Business people mix and mingle
     The Hampton Inn was the setting for the Pensacola Beach Chamber’s October Business After Hours, a networking event. Many beach business people enjoyed the event which offered refreshments in a comfortable setting. The next Pensacola Beach Chamber membership will be at the Comfort Inn at 8:30 a.m. on November 24.

Pensacola Beach tax issue still pending
     Over 150 people crowded into the Beach Community Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 21 for the annual meeting of the Pensacola Beach Advocates. Attorney Danny Kepner from Shell, Fleming, Davis and Menge told those in attendance that the residential tax litigation is still pending.
