While all three facets of the game earned more positive marks during last Friday’s game than any other this season, the mark that matters most still eluded them. More ... Milton High School allowed their students to take in Thursday’s match against Gulf Breeze for free. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t see much of one. The Lady Panthers (16-2) battled the Lady Dolphins hard in game one, but GBHS (17-2) turned on the jets after that, rolling to a 25-19, 25-8, 25-15 win. More ... The Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin golf team won its seventh consecutive district title Monday at Tiger Point East, edging Niceville by four shots to claim the crown. More ... The Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Community Center on Friday, Oct. 23 will be hosting a seminar for everyone interested in junior tennis in the Pensacola area. The meeting will begin at noon. Organizers are attempting to totally re-energize and expand the influence of the Pensacola Junior Tennis Association. Join them at a meeting to kick things off! More ... Washington won both divisions, while West Florida and Milton were second and third in the girls division and Catholic and Navarre second and third in the boys division. More ... The Gulf Breeze junior varsity improved its record to 4- 1, as quarterback Andrew Jurnovoy threw his second touchdown pass of the game late in the fourth quarter to propel the Dolphins to a 21-14 victory over Washington last Thursday night at Dolphin Stadium. More ... The GBHS volleyball team will be honoring their three seniors tonight on Senior Night. The three seniors will be introduced with their families and given flowers and gifts. It will also be Rec Night where ALL students will be admitted for half price, (normally $2, that night is $1). Girls playing volleyball at the rec center are encouraged to wear their uniform shirts. More ... GBHS, Navarre and Washington have been soccer rivals for the past several years. Each school was represented in Florida Atlantic’s 1-0 win at Troy on Friday. More ...
