Power back on at Ft. Pickens
Campground services restored
      Gulf Islands National Seashore Superintendent Jerry Eubanks announced that this week Gulf Power and park staff is finishing up the task of restoring power to the Fort Pickens Unit. Electricity and water has been restored throughout most of the Fort Pickens area with full completion expected within the next week.

Sod greens up Casino beach
      Pensacola Beach is going green. Cool grass now covers the sandy outparcels to the left and right of the Gulfside Pavilion in an experiment to see if the sod will take root and reduce the amount of sand blowing into the parking lots.
