GBUMC to host Monday luncheon

The Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church Senior Adult Ministries Sharing and Caring luncheon will be held Monday, Oct. 12 in the Gilmore Fellowship Hall on the Fairpoint Campus.

The program begins at 11 a m., and the cost of the lunch is $3. No reservations are necessary. The Dancing Grannies will provide entertainment. The menu will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, yeast roll and pumpkin pie for dessert. Maxine Gray will entertain on the organ. After the luncheon, flu vaccines will be available, as will vaccines for pneumonia, tetanus and Tdap. For info, call the church office at 932-3594.

Senior adults also enjoy the Bible Study each Wednesday at 10 a.m. led by Rev. Ruth Knights. The group is currently studying the Book of Daniel. No preparation is necessary, so drop in next week! Then stay for the Lunch Bunch at 11 a.m. The Lunch Bunch gathers behind the sanctuary at the Fairpoint Campus and travels to a local restaurant to enjoy fun, good and fellowship. Dutch treat, and no reservation necessary.

Calvary Chapel's popular fall fishing trip is slated for Saturday, Oct. 17.

Presented by the church's Men's Ministry, this excursion into the Gulf of Mexico is a great way for local men to enjoy some camaraderie.

Participants will board the Entertainer for some exciting offshore action.
