Gulf Isle Neighbors women to meet Sept. 9
      Gulf Isle Neighbors woman's club will begin the new fiscal year under the leadership of Joanie Bolton, President, and the other Executive Board members, Jackie Jensen, Bev Ishol and Marge Cumpston. The first meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Pensacola Civic Center, 201 East Gregory Street.

Stevens confidently takes reins at GBES
      Warren Stevens has spent his entire 16 years in the education field working in the south end of Santa Rosa County School District. This school year, he finally worked his way down U.S. Highway 98 to take over the position of principal for Gulf Breeze Elementary School.

MILITARY
      Grant Barrett Grant Barrett, son of Bob and Nancy Barrett of Gulf Breeze, has graduated from Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Barrett's wife, Holly, is the daughter of Dave and Jean C. Lee of Gulf Breeze. The lieutenant graduated in 2002 from Gulf Breeze High School.
