      Charles "Chuck" Worthington McNemar, 79, of Gulf Breeze passed away Saturday, Aug. 15 after a brave fight against lung disease. McNemar was born and raised in Reynoldsville, W.Va. After two years in the U.S. Army, the family moved to Washington, D.C., and later to Phoenix, Ariz.

      Thomas (Tom) Stanfill Siler, 81, of Lillian, Ala., a former columnist for the Gulf Breeze Sentinel, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009. Siler was born Feb. 21, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, to Thomas D. and Hildreth (Staggs) Siler. Most of his boyhood was spent in Salt Lick, Ky.
