Defense needs more time; trial could be on Nov. 2 sans plea
      The prosecutor in the "Guntotin' Momma" case expects defendant Judy Lynn Hall to go on trial Nov. 2 if a plea agreement isn't reached beforehand. Hall, 61, of 1139 Finch Street in Gulf Breeze, was arrested April 20 for taking two guns and a knife onto the Gulf Breeze High School campus.

      Tom Dannheisser, Santa Rosa County Attorney, was one of the legal elites recently chosen as Florida's Top Governmental Lawyers by 'Florida Trend' magazine. Dannheisser was one of 73 Florida Bar government attorneys recognized throughout the state and one of two selected west of Tallahassee.

Tiger Bay Club set to hear Oakley
      The Panhandle Tiger Bay Club will feature Ambassador Robert Oakley as guest speaker for the July 17 noon luncheon meeting at New World Landing. This Ambassador has served in every hot spot outside of Russia during his 34-year career with the U.S. Foreign Service. He was Ambassador to Pakistan, Somalia and Zaire.
