KA BOOM - July 4th 2009

Our nation is having another birthday and there's no better place to celebrate it than Pensacola Beach. With the white sand and blue skies, all you need is a red bathing suit to complete the patriotic picture.

Again this year, the Funcoast Productions group is planning KABOOM, the huge fireworks display over Santa Rosa Sound, as well as a weekend full of free musical entertainment.

Buck Lee, Santa Rosa Island Executive Director, cautions visitors to plan ahead, bringing plenty of water and sunscreen as well as shoes for walking on the hot pavement.

If a summer storm should arise, visitors should immediately locate shelter and stay inside a boat rather than in the water.
