Jr. Lifeguard graduation returns to Opal Beach
      Last week, a class of eight boys and three girls were graduated from the first Junior Lifeguard class of the season, and the first to be held at Opal Beach in five years. Opal Beach opened back to the public just last weekend with the partial completion of reconstructed facilities, destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

Elks Lodge raises over $2,000 and 13 units of blood for center
      Several people rolled up their sleeves and many others emptied their wallets Saturday, June 20 at the Elks Lodge's Blood Drive held in coordination with the Northwest Florida Blood Center.

Beach Community Church delays Vacation Bible School
      Due to construction, the Pensacola Beach Community Church is rescheduling Vacation Bible School. It will now take place July 20-24 and the theme is, "Wild About God!" The traditional Swim in the Sound will occur on Friday, July 24.
