Gulf Breeze hosts Dizzy Dean District Tournaments

As of press time, GBSA's 10-under All Stars were the only ones still in the running for a championship.

Myrtle Grove 23, Tiger Point 16: Trevor L'Orange went 4-for-4 and scored twice, while Sebastian Sanfeliz went 3-for-4 and scored three times in Tiger Point's opening round loss to Myrtle Grove.
Liam Wright went 3-for-4 and scored twice, while Dylan Lawrence went 3-for-4 and scored once. Ryan Shea and Jake Jardina had two hits and two runs scored, while Dalton Aanestad, Ryan Donovan and Harrison Dorsey all had two hits and one run scored.

Chase Walsh and Zach Burke went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Matt Sheurich, Mark Kendrick and Ryan Mayes had two hits and two runs scored. Zack Whisler and Kade McConaghy had two hits and scored once.

Bill Bond 24, Gulf Breeze 14: Tekoah Roby and Chase Walsh both went 3-for-3 and scored three times in Gulf Breeze's loss to Bill Bond.
Zack Burke went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored in the loss, while Trevor Pugh, Mark Kendrick and Zachary Whisler all had two hits each.
Perdido 10, Gulf Breeze 8: Zachary Whisler went 4-for-4 and scored three times as Gulf Breeze finished third in the sixteam tournament.
Tekoah Roby doubled three times and scored three times, while Zach Burke went 3-for-3 and scored once. Trevor Pugh went 2-for-4 and scored once.
U-8 bracket
Tiger Point went 0-2, while Gulf Breeze finished fourth in the seven-team bracket.
Myrtle Grove 20, Tiger Point 6: David Melega went 3- for-3 and scored once, while
Nate Golman, Emmanuel Ayala and Philip Hoffman all went 2-for-3 in a loss to Myrtle Grove. Golman scored two of their six runs.
Gulf Breeze 15, Perdido 7: Spencer Wirth went 4-for-4 with a triple and scored three times to lead Gulf Breeze over Perdido.
Clay Clifton went 3-for-4 and scored three times, while Braden Massey went 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice. Coleman Burtt, Trenton Lamar, Cayson McCurdy and Carter Sheppard all had two hits for Gulf Breeze.
Myrtle Grove 4, Gulf Breeze 3: Gulf Breeze scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth, but their rally fell one run short in a loss to Myrtle Grove.
Spencer Wirth, Braden Massey and Cayson McCurdy all went 2-for-3 for Gulf Breeze, while Chandler Burtt, Paul Snider and Kel Jackson all singled and scored once.
Perdido 16, Tiger Point 1: Nate Golman had two hits in an elimination loss to Perdido.
David Melaga singled and scored the team's only run. Dalton Renfroe, Philip Hoffman, Ben Baldwin, Gabe Kale and Trevor Compton all had one hit each.
Gulf Breeze 23, Cantonment 1: Ryan Patrick hit a three-run triple in Gulf Breeze's seven-run first inning. Clay Clifton, Coleman Burtt and Cayson McCurdy all went 3-for- 4 and scored three times, while Spencer Wirth, Chandler Burtt and Tyler Gore all had three hits and scored twice.
Braden Massey went 2-for-4 with a triple and scored three times, while Trenton Lamar and Paul Snider both had two hits and scored once. Ben Zimmer went 2-for-2 in the win.
Navarre 15, Gulf Breeze 14: Gulf Breeze's six-run rally in the bottom of the sixth fell a run short as they lost their second one-run game of the tournament.
Braden Massey and Cayson McCurdy both went 3-for-4 and scored twice, while Chandler Burtt went 3-for-4 and scored once.
Clay Clifton had two hits and three runs scored, while Spencer Wirth had two hits and two runs scored and Trenton Lamar and Coleman Burtt had two hits and scored once.
U-10 bracket
Tiger Point 17, Cantonment 5: Micah Patterson and Konner Flynn both had three hits and three runs scored as Tiger Point rolled over Cantonment.
Keegan Luchsinger singled, doubled and scored three times, while Daniel Laurent singled and scored three times. Andrew Dorsey scored twice for Tiger Point.
Myrtle Grove 2, Tiger Point 0: Tiger Point was held to three hits as Myrtle Grove scored both of its runs in the second inning Friday.
T Richards and Colton Printiss both singled in the first inning, while Drew Shea singled in the second.
Gulf Breeze 13, Myrtle Grove 3: Brent Nesmith went 3- for-4 and scored twice, while Parker Baynes and Tristan Covell both had two hits and a run scored in Gulf Breeze's win over Myrtle Grove.
Gulf Breeze 15, Bill Bond 5: Parker Baynes went 4-for-4 and scored three times, while Brent Nesmith also scored three times in Gulf Breeze's win over Bill Bond.
Tristan Covell and Cole Sheppard both scored twice, while William Welch went 2- for-2 and scored once.
Bellview 8, Tiger Point 7 (eight innings): Bellview scored the game-winner in the top of the eighth to eliminate Tiger Point.
Colton Printiss and Micah Patterson both went 2-for-5, with one of Printiss' hits being a triple. Andrew Dorsey went 2- for-2 and scored three times, while T Richards scored twice.
Gulf Breeze 10, Navarre 6: Parker Baynes went 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice to lead Gulf Breeze into the championship game, which was played after the News' deadline.
Brent Nesmith and Tristan Covell both went 2-for-4 with a double and scored once, while Reddon McLaurine hit two singles. Tyler Phelps and Cole Sheppard both scored twice for Gulf Breeze.
U-12 bracket Gulf Breeze d. Tiger Point by forfeit: Two injured players and a third in the emergency room, left Tiger Point with only eight players, forcing them to forfeit its game with Gulf Breeze, as well as its second game with Gospel Projects.
Perdido 6, Gulf Breeze 0: A four-run first was the difference in Perdido's win over Gulf Breeze.
Gulf Breeze had five hits in the loss - a double by Peyton Hoover and singles by Kyle Overlade, Josh Argentine, Hunter Carlson and Tyler Ueberschaer.
Bellview 11, Gulf Breeze 10: Bellview scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to eliminate Gulf Breeze.
Kyle Overlade went 2-for-2 and scored three times, while Chris Welt went 2-for-2 and scored once. Peyton Hoover scored twice in the loss.
U-14 bracket
Northeast Pensacola 11, Gulf Breeze 10: NEP scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to beat Gulf Breeze.
Connor Crooke went 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice, while Austin Droogsma scored twice and singled once. Matt Hawthorne and Thomas Fitzgerald both scored twice.
Bellview 7, Gulf Breeze 2: Connor Crooke and Austin Droogsma scored runs in a loss to Bellview.
Droogsma and Tristen Hicks had the only hits for Gulf Breeze, who struck out nine times in the loss.
