Elks plan blood drive and fish fry Saturday
      The Pensacola Beach Elks love to volunteer and they also love to have a party. This Saturday, they will accomplish both when they invite the Northwest Florida Bloodmobile over to accept donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and they will also fry up a delicious fish dinner for attendees.

Stargaze Friday at Fort Pickens
      Gaze at the stars Friday, June 19 from sunset to 10 p.m. at the Battery Worth Picnic Area of Fort Pickens Area. Weather permitting, volunteers from the Escambia Amateur Astronomers' Association will set up several telescopes for public viewing of the stars, planets and constellations. The program is free, however there is an $8 entrance fee to the Fort Pickens Area.

This week on Pensacola Beach
      Thursday Bands on the Beach, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m at the Gulfside Pavilion Dr. Breeze will perform jazz, blues and classic rock with an Island sound. Friday The Sounds of Summer, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Portofino Boardwalk Shell. Southern Breeze will perform country rock.
