Short-handed Dolphin football team loses jamboree in Milton
Team to begin summer workouts June 15, with 7-on-7 games on Wednesdays
      A hobbled Dolphin football team struggled on offense and had trouble on defense as the Milton Panthers beat GBHS 21-0 in a spring jamboree Thursday in Milton. Cuts cost Kerby soccer coaching position
      Oriole Beach Elementary will lose only three or four positions this summer, but one of them is being felt in Gulf Breeze Proper. Sharon Kerby, who led the Lady Dolphin soccer team to the state tournament in each of her two seasons, was forced to step down last week after it was learned her OBES position wasn't going to be retained.

Lacrosse makes Gulf Breeze debut
      Gulf Breeze got its first taste of lacrosse last weekend at Shoreline Park. While Saturday's action didn't go well, the Dolphins bounced back with two wins on Sunday. Titans 5, Dolphins 2: Jack Costello and Kyle Fogel scored third quarter goals before the Titans tacked on a pair of insurance goals.

GBSA U8s, Southern Legacy take second at Dolphin Splash Tournament
      Both the Gulf Breeze 8-under All Stars and Southern Legacy took second place in their respective divisions at the Dolphin Splash last weekend at Shoreline Park. The tournament was a fundraiser for the GBHS varsity softball team.

      The Northwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Sportsman Association will hold its membership meeting June 11 at 6 p.m. at Nicholls Seafood in Milton. Guest speaker will be Kurt Hodges, the Small Game Management Coordinator for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

2004 GBSA U8s win NWFGSA Tourney
      The 2004 GBSA U-8 All Stars won the Northwest Florida Girls Softball Alliance All Star Tournament, beating pace 14-5 in the championship game at Myrtle Grove. Gulf Breeze was led by Caitlin Sacco, who had 10 hits in the four games. Alycia Gilbert and Caitlin Chapman had a pair of multi hit games.
