Class of '09 earns $7.4M in scholarships
More than 60 percent of the senior class (344 members) received one or more scholarships recognizing their outstanding achievements during high school. Included in that group are the following: Lisa Aguado has received a scholarship from the University of South Alabama totaling $10,000. She plans on attending the University of South Alabama. She also was awarded the Courtney Matthews Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $100. Natalie Alverson plans on attending PJC. She also was awarded the Jenni Lawrence Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Lauren Amberson has received scholarships from the University of Northern Colorado, Ball State University, the University of Oklahoma, Point Park University, Florida State University and the University of Central Florida totaling $129,400. She plans on attending the University of Central Florida. Angelo Anastopoulo plans on attending Florida State University. He was also awarded the Nelson Roltsch Scholarship in the amount of $500. Arden Armbruster has received scholarships from University of Memphis, Columbus State and Roosevelt University in the amount of $156,000. She plans on attending the University of Memphis. Morgan Arnett has received scholarships from the University of West Florida totaling $12,000. She plans on attending UWF.
