Kyle Brown (GBHS Class of 2006) hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth as the University of West Florida edged Mississippi Valley State 1-0 in game one of a doubleheader. More ... GBHS used home runs from two of its juniors - Ben Lively and Stephen Robbins - to lift the Dolphins past Jay 7-3 Thursday on Senior Night. Robbins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, blooped a single to right field to score Corey Downs, who singled, in the bottom of the first. Robbins would score on a throwing error after a single by Matsoukas. More ... Five members of the Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin varsity softball team were honored before their final home game Thursday against Fort Walton. One of the seniors, Rosie Atkinson, hit a game-tying home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, but Fort Walton would pull away in the ninth inning, winning 13-5. More ...
