Alison Milam threw a perfect game and struck out 11 as the Lady Dolphins won 7-0 at Pine Forest April 1. Milam faced the minimum 21 batters in the seven-inning win, going to three balls on only one batter and two balls to only two batters. She threw 68 pitches, 51 of them for strikes. More ... On Friday, she and GBHS doubles teammate Jackie Kasler were honored at the Pensacola Sports Association Awards Banquet. The pair are the reigning 2A state doubles champions. Bass, along with distance runner Emily Tryon, competed in the Meet of Champions Saturday in Mobile. Bass was ninth in the shot put, while Tryon was seventh in the two mile. More ... Kim Tryon (GBHS Class of 2006) won the pole vault for Rhodes College at the Washington University Invitational Saturday in St. Louis. Tryon won the event with a leap of 10 feet, 10 inches. She was also 10th in the high jump (4-6.5), the triple jump (31 feet, 0.5 inches) and the 100 meter hurdles (16.58). More ... Ramirez went 5-1-1 for Team Florida at the Dixie Duals two weeks ago in Birmingham. Ramirez was one of two Team Florida wrestlers that competed in the 117-pound class. The Dolphins were held to four hits in a 4-0 loss to Milton. More ... The 9-under Gulf Breeze Storm went 1-3 at the recent Battle of the Bay at Shoreline Park. Niceville Travelling Eagles 19-1: Nick McCain singled and scored the lone run for the Storm in a loss to the Eagles.
