The Gulf Breeze Dolphin baseball team, struggling on offense all season, got several clutch hits in the middle innings to give them a 4-3, come-frombehind win over West Florida Friday in Gulf Breeze.

Down 3-0 after two and a half innings, the Dolphins (5- 4, 2-3 in District 1-4A) tied the game with three in the fourth before scoring the eventual game-winning run in the fifth.

Ben Lively, who walked two and gave up a base hit in the first inning (allowing the Jaguars to score twice), walked one and struck out seven over the final six innings, including all three batters he faced in the seventh.

West Florida took advantage of a fielding error to score twice in the top of the first. The Jags were looking for more, but left two on base. Two more errors in the third inning helped West Florida take a 3-0 lead before a diving catch by first baseman Alex Ball got the Dolphins out of the inning.

After Lively threw a sixpitch fourth inning, the Dolphin offense tied the game. Caleb Brown led the inning off by reaching on an error. With the hit and run on, Kris Matsoukas laced a single to right field. Stephen Robbins followed with a double to score Brown before Matsoukas scored on a wild pitch.
