The Gulf Breeze boys and girls track team took fourth out of five teams at a hotly contested West Florida Invitational March 6-7. Escambia won the meet with 85 points, followed by PHS (80), West Florida (79) and GBHS (77). Catholic had 32 points. More ... The Gulf Breeze Dolphin weightlifting team finished tied for second in a tight threeteam meet March 11 in Gulf Breeze. PHS won the meet with 39 points, while GBHS and West Florida both had 34 points. More ... Kameron Brunty (GBHS Class of 2008) and his Southern Miss teammates had a big day Saturday against Louisiana Tech. Brunty, the team's starting center fielder and their number two hitter, went 5- for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored as the Eagles rolled to a 24-3 win. More ... Navarre 6, Wave 4: The Raiders used a four-run first inning to beat the Wave in their opener. Ben Davis, Tom Bixler, Robbie McLin and Brandon Aydelott all singled and scored in the loss.
