Baseball beats West Florida on Friday the 13th, 4-3
      The Gulf Breeze Dolphin baseball team, struggling on offense all season, got several clutch hits in the middle innings to give them a 4-3, come-frombehind win over West Florida Friday in Gulf Breeze.

Milam fans 13 in 6-1, Friday the 13th win at Navarre
      Alison Milam threw a three-hitter and struck out 13 as the Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin softball team completed a season sweep, winning 6-1 at Navarre Friday. Gulf Breeze (7-5, 5-1 in District 1-4A) scored five of their six runs on three hits, the only three they had in the game.

GBHS girls, boys track take fourth at West Florida Tech Invitational
      The Gulf Breeze boys and girls track team took fourth out of five teams at a hotly contested West Florida Invitational March 6-7. Escambia won the meet with 85 points, followed by PHS (80), West Florida (79) and GBHS (77). Catholic had 32 points.

Gulf Breeze Dolphin weightlifting team second in close three-team meet
Villegas wins 169 pound class for second straight week
      The Gulf Breeze Dolphin weightlifting team finished tied for second in a tight threeteam meet March 11 in Gulf Breeze. PHS won the meet with 39 points, while GBHS and West Florida both had 34 points.

Ex-Dolphins have career days Saturday
      Kameron Brunty (GBHS Class of 2008) and his Southern Miss teammates had a big day Saturday against Louisiana Tech. Brunty, the team's starting center fielder and their number two hitter, went 5- for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored as the Eagles rolled to a 24-3 win.

GBHS girls tennis team edges Pace
      For the second time in as many weeks, the GBHS girls tennis team needed someone other than their top two players to win to stay unbeaten. Two weeks ago, Ali Gilmartin won a match to help Gulf Breeze get past Catholic.

      Tiger Point Sports Association's t-ball, baseball and softball seasons kicked off Saturday at Tiger Point Park.

Wave teams second at tournaments
      The Gulf Breeze Wave's 13-under team took second place at the Mardi Gras Madness Tournament March 1in Pensacola. Navarre 6, Wave 4: The Raiders used a four-run first inning to beat the Wave in their opener. Ben Davis, Tom Bixler, Robbie McLin and Brandon Aydelott all singled and scored in the loss. Koji Dinelli had a double for the Wave.
