Beach Chamber hosts 'Irish on the Island' celebration Irish eyes will smile at the good times on Pensacola Beach during the Go Irish on the Island celebration March 13 through 17. The events begin on Friday the Thirteenth continue throughout the weekend culminating on March 17. The highlight of the celebration will be the annual St. Paddy's Day Pub Crawl which visits one dozen Beach locations beginning at 10 a.m. at Sidelines and ending at 6:15 p.m. at the Sandshaker. The events include a Green Bikini Contest, Pour the Proper Pint competition, a re-enactment of Tim Finnegan's Wake, Catholic Mass, appearance by St. Patrick, lots of parties with live music and fine Irish fare.
