      A 24-year-old man was found dead of unknown causes Sunday morning in his parents' front yard on Sandy Ridge Drive in the Whisper Bay subdivision in Gulf Breeze. The incident is still under investigation by the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office.

Allentown couple dies in Sunday blaze
      An Allentown couple, Ingram Lamar Ward, 81, and his wife, Dorothy Verburg Ward, 72, died Sunday night as a result of a fire that destroyed their home at 5484 Lamar Ward Lane. The Wards had been married for 52 years.

Council raises base rate fees
Sewer, stormwater increases 'necessary'

      Gulf Breeze City Council unanimously approved hikes in sewer and storm water utility base rates at their council meeting last Monday night. The storm water utility base rate will increase to $4.25 per month from $4, and sewer volumetric rate bumped up from $3.57 to $3.64.
