Things that make me feel good

We here in Far Far Super-Far Florida have a lot to feel good about. Even in the middle of a non-recession, we need to find things in our lives that make us feel good. Now days these things are not going to find us, so we have to look for them. Here are a few things that make me feel good!

* Having something happen that tells you again that you married just the right person, no matter how hard they are to live with at times.

* Laughing so hard your face hurts.

* Watching real estate prices go down.

* Ice Cream, no matter what kind, big bowls of it, and no fear of eating it.

* Getting a letter from an old friend.

* Listening to the rain on the porch of our River House.

* Rocking chairs on porch's with friends and soft music.

* Cool nights in the summer.

* Laughing for no reason at all. Be sure this does not happen often and that no one is watching you. This could be considered crazy. That's a shame ain't it?

* Waking up and realizing that you still have a few hours to sleep.

* Walking on the beach for the first time all year.

* Finding a sanddollar as big as your foot, unbroken and pure white.

* Blue Angel's Weekend.

* Finding a parking place on a crowded weekend on the Beach.

* Catching your limit.

* Holding a sleeping baby.

* Seeing a "shooting star," and having your friend see it too!

* When my team wins.

* Holding hands with someone you care about. Family, siblings, friend, just anyone that you care for. It is special.

* Watching someone open a gift from you that you spent hours either making or searching for.

* Knowing that you have done the right thing, no matter what the world thinks.

* Making the final payment on your car, house or a credit card that you have had for years.

* Warm puppies, no matter what kind. Puppies make children of us all!

And finally, just knowing that you live among people that are tough. People that will give you a hand up and not just a hand out, and that Northwest Florida, Far Far Super- Far Florida is the place you were meant to live your life.
