Roper seeks vote in Sheriff's race

Chris Roper is a candidate for Santa Rosa County Sheriff.

He is a 28-year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol, 26 of which he served patrolling in Santa Rosa County.

Roper, 53, was graduated cum laude with his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Troy University with a minor in psychology.

Roper's first priority is to take control of the sheriff's department budget, eliminating wasteful spending and utilizing the full aspects of the job.

Roper is married with two children and one grandchild. He is an active member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church.
