Mayes edges Remax in GBSA Rookie League action

Ben Zimmer had three hits and three runs scored, while Daniel Green had four hits and two runs scored in Mayes' 13-9 win over ReMax in recent GBSA Rookie League action.

Duke Chastain went 3-for-4, while Raphe Clarkin and Joe Lloyd both scored twice in the win.

Alec Grimes went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Chris Baugher and and Vinny Savarino went 2-for-3 and scored twice. Sean Hogan had two hits and a run scored.

Goodroe 17, Garza 3: Carter Sheppard went 4-for-4 and scored four times, while Ben Bodi went 4-for-4 and scored three times as Goodroe beat Garza.

Matthew Hitpas and Justin Fruitticher had three hits and scored twice, while Joshua Stillman, Braden Samay and Thomas Goodroe all had two hits and two runs scored.

Connor Thompson went 4- for-4 with a run scored for Garza, while Chase Walsh went 3-for-4 and scored once.

Ellis 10, Wirth 7: Deems Edlund went 3-for-3 with a tworun homer and scored three times as Ellis beat Wirth.

Corbin Forbin went 3-for-3 and scored three times, while Luke Ellis went 3-for-3 and scored twice.

Jesse Grant, Chance Napier and Thompson Rogers all had three hits, while Kell Jackson and Simon Dunn both had two hits and a run scored in the loss.

Minor League Baseball Peg Leg Pete's 12, Baynes 1: Zane Gill went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Xavier Arant and Jace Amberson had two hits and three runs scored for Peg Legs.

Chance Dyer went 2-for-2 and scored twice in the win.

Joyce 7, Grace 3: Sam Joyce and Wade Niles went 2-for-2 and scored twice, while Jacob Box went 3-for-3 and scored once in the win for Joyce.

Tyler Phelps homered, while Nick Liebig and Eric Finger both scored once.

Peg Leg Pete's 10, Hill 0: Bo Fabbro and Parker Johnson both scored twice, while Zane Gill had a hit and two runs scored as Peg Legs won.

Chance Dyer and Trey Smith had two hits and a run scored, while Spencer Van Pelt had the lone hit for Hill.

Joyce 5, Parker 4: Cody Gipson's RBI double in the sixth was the difference as Joyce edged Parker.

Wade Niles went 3-for-3 and scored three times, while Jacob Box went 3-for-3 and scored once.

Bradley Proctor and Cole Sheppard had two hits and a run scored, while Logan Smith and Garrett Thomas scored once in the loss.

Hawthorne 9, Curington 3: Nathan Davis went 3-for-3 and scored once, while Jake Smith had two hits and two runs scored in the win for Hawthorne.

Mitchell Robbins had two hits and a run scored, while David Alverson scored twice.

Dylan Stamenkovich had a hit and a run scored for Curington. Cole Brown and Jordan Parsa both scored once.

Crooke 11, Newell 1: Connor Crooke scored three times, while Ben Davis went 2- for-3 and scored twice as Crooke beat Newell.

Tristen Hicks went 2-for-3 and scored once, while Colton Mapoles scored twice.

Zack Argentine had a hit and a run scored for Newell.

Robbie McLin and Kyle Overlade had two hits and a run scored for Newell, while Sam Covell, Zack Argentine, Peyton Hoover and Ryushe Hashadi had a hit and a run scored.

Curington 12, Aydelott 9: Troy Stringfellow went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Cole Brown doubled and scored three times in Curington's win over Aydelott.

Nick Duggar, Zak Dobar, Garner Curington, Derrick Krepp and Tyler Ueberschaer had a hit and a run scored in the win.
