Senior girls win annual GBHS Powder Puff game

The senior class edged the juniors 6-0 in the final of the annual Gulf Breeze High Powder Puff Game, marking the third straight year the graduating class has won the game.
Seniors 6, Juniors 0
Brittany Clay scored on a 14- yard run for the game's only score. Ashley Collins had a pair of long runs to set up the score.
Cayla Platt's 23-yard catch from quarterback Lacie Brothers put the juniors near midfield, but they turned it over four plays later. The seniors went four and out on their next series before Brittany Pyle picked off a pass for the seniors in the final minutes.
Juniors need overtime to
beat freshmen
Jessica Majewski's fourth down run gave the juniors an overtime win over the freshmen.
The overtime, which broke a 6-6 tie in regulation, was played with the ball at the 50 yard line. The team that went the farthest in four plays was the winner.

Kari Stephenson's 24-yard run gave the juniors a first down before they turned it over on downs. The freshman turned it back over after Natalie Newell intercepted a pass.
Five plays later, Majewski scored from 12 yards out. Stephenson's 48-yard run set up the score.
Lisa Aguado made a fourth down stop for the juniors before freshman Alison Milam picked off the first of her two passes to end the half.
The freshmen started the second half going four and out. Tobie Bass had a first down catch for the juniors before Milam picked off another pass two plays later.
Gina Bertelli completed passes to Adrian Culpepper (42 yards), Milam (25) and Jasmine Crowell (14) before Bertelli scored on a 10-yard run.
Meredeth Chavers made several stops on defense for the freshmen.
Seniors 18, Sophomores 6
Noelle Robles scored twice as the seniors scored on each of its first three possessions against the sophomores.

Clay scored on a 34-yard run on the fifth play of the game. Jessica Watson caught a 21-yard pass from Kelsey Hebert before the sophomores turned it over on downs four plays later.
Robles scored from 42 yards out on the very next play.
Briana Santiago had 48 of her team's 70 yards on the sophomores' next drive, including a seven-yard touchdown.
Lindsey Arnett and Megan Kirby picked up yards running the ball on the next senior drive before Robles scored from 21 yards out.
Kori Ewens and Maggie Mitchell made stops for the sophomores, while Pyle and Lauren Fleming were standouts on the seniors' defense.
