BY JASON THOMPSON Gulf Breeze News jason@gulfbreezenews.com

Jason Thompson/Gulf Breeze News Team motto GBHS head football coach Chris Nemith holds up a copy of The Creed' - a motto the players wrote which they will abide by for the 2008 season at Friday's Lift A Thon.
The Gulf Breeze Dolphin football team held its inaugural Lift AThon fundraiser Friday in the GBHS Gym.

Players solicited pledges based on how many reps they could perform on the bench press. Players had the option of benching 70 percent of their body weight or 70 percent of their 'max' lift.

Rising seniors with the most reps were Jason Pendergraph (25 reps), Blake Conner (22), Jonathon Stephens (22), Kyle Schnackenberg (22) and Kyle Magnes (20). Rising juniors with the most reps were Daniel Rubio (28 reps), Justin Stephens (27) and Grant Harris (25). Rising sophomores with the most reps were: Justin Flannigan (22 reps), Blake Edwards (21), Holden Tibbs (21) and Stephen Crowhurst (21).
Great grapplers Kyle Chavers (above) and Erich Reitz were two of the many Dolphin wrestlers honored for their accomplishments this season at their recent awards banquet at Carrabba's. Chavers was given the Most Valuable Wrestler award by coach Al Glienicki, while Reitz was given the Leadership Award by Coach Burk Wellborn. Photos courtesy of Maria Weisnicht
