Jazzy Jellyfish Café reopens today

The grand opening for the GBES Jazzy Jellyfish Café is today from 6-7 in the Gulf Breeze Elementary School cafeteria. The cafe will serve over 100 people a night and be entertained by Joe Occhipinti and his jazz band. A limited number of dine-in and takeout tickets are available for May 1, 8, 15 and 22.

The Jazzy Jellyfish Café has raised in excess of $10,000 for local charities. Leslie Jolly, teacher and CEO, started the program in 2006, to teach her class about the importance of charitable giving and volunteerism while also teaching them how to use what they are learning in their curriculum in the real world.

Since its inception the café has netted over $10,000 profit that has been given to local children charities. This year the third grade classes heard presentations from many needy charities and have decided on three that would receive all proceeds raised at this event. The charities chosen are the Autism Society of Pensacola, Family Freedom Foundation and Jazz Society of Pensacola.

For more information, please contact Leslie Jolly at 418- 5511.
