Team Sidelines wins 8-under division at Midseason Tournament
A total of 98 teams from 11 different parks in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties played in the double-elimination tournament, which began on April 18. Teams were placed in an A or B bracket, defending on their records at their respective home parks to guarantee an even playing field for all teams. 8-under A bracket Pace Patriots 19, GBSA Stokes 11: Lauren Stokes doubled and scored three times for Stokes in a loss to the Patriots.
GBSA Amberson (Sidelines) 8, Perdido Crush 5: Team Amberson rallied from a 4-3 deficit to beat the Crush. Carlee Amberson went 3-for- 3 and scored three times, while Abby Morgan, Abby Zimmer and Sydney Lively all had two hits. Ashley Kekesion singled and scored twice, while Avery Curington and Blair Amberson all singled and scored once.
Pace Cardinals 21, TP Canines 16: The Canines led 6- 3 after one inning after the Cardinals rallied. Danielle Hanks, Nethanya Garcia and Sam Bixler all scored three times, while Amber Doyle and Shelby Oquist both scored twice. Navarre Pink 17, TP Ponytails 3: Kiandrah Longmire, Talia Bogan and Kamryn Hearn all scored runs for the Ponytails in a loss to Navarre Pink. GBSA Stokes 9, Perdido Crush 7: A.J. Jacobs went 3- for-3 and scored twice as Stokes broke a 6-6 tie with two in the fourth and one in the fifth. Lauren Stokes, Bella Brindley, Madison Patrick, Kristen Goodroe, Daly Ostrander and Lara Medve all had two hits. Myrtle Grove Sandy Sansing 15, TP Ponytails 7: The Ponytails jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead before Myrtle Grove scored 11 unanswered runs. Kara Dorsey scored twice, while Talia Bogan, Ann Elyse Nichols, Patty Petway, Kamryn Hearn and Georgia Moss all scored once. GBSA Stokes 9, TP Canines 4: Madison Patrick went 3-for-3 and scored once to lead Stokes over the Canines. Lauren Stokes, Lara Medve, A.J. Jacobs and Kristen Goodroe all had two hits in the win, while Nethanya Garcia went 3-for-3 and scored twice for the Canines. Danielle Hanks and Amber Doyle scored the other two runs. Sidelines 11, Pace Cards 3: Avery Curington went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and scored three times for Sidelines in a win over the Pace Cards. GBSA Stokes 15, Navarre Pink 4: Stokes rallied from 3-0 down with three in the first and five in the second to beat Navarre Pink. Kristen Goodroe, Lauren Stokes and A.J. Jacobs all went 3-for-3 in the win, while Laura Medve and Whitney Weldon both went 2-for-3. GBSA Stokes 12, Pace Cardinals 2: Madison Patrick went 2-for-2, including a threerun homer, as Stokes beat the Pace Cardinals. Laura Stokes doubled, tripled and scored three times for Stokes. Lilly Smith, Cate McCain and Kristen Goodroe all had two hits in the win. Pace Patriots 11, GBSA Stokes 6: Madison Patrick, Laura Medve, A.J. Jacobs and Bella Brindley all had two hits as Stokes finished third in the nine-team bracket. GBSA Amberson 14, Pace Patriots 13: Ashley Kekeisen's single scored Rachel Greer as Amberson rallied from 13-8 down to beat the Patriots. Greer and Kekeisen both went 3-for-4 and scored three times. Avery Curington, Blair Amberson, Rainey Niles, Carlee Amberson, Erin Bailey, Abby Morgan, Abby Zimmer, Sydney Lively and Sarah Friedland all scored once. GBSA Amberson 14, Pace Patriots 4: Down 3-0 after a half inning, Amberson scored seven in the first and six in the second to roll in the championship game. Blair Amberson hit two triples and scored twice. Avery Curington, Rainey Niles, Rachel Greer and Ashley Kekeisen all scored twice, while Erin Bailey, Abby Morgan, Sydney Lively and Sarah Friedland all scored once. 8-under B bracket Bellview 10, GBSA Karcher 9: Maddie Grace McCurdy went 3-for-3 and scored once for Karcher in a loss to Bellview. Sophia Aviles, Mary Elliott, Sam Karche and Meredith McCurdy all scored twice in the loss. Navarre Lime 13, TP Dolphins 4: Ally Smith, Maddie Atkinson, Anna Phelps and Taylor Baker all scored once in the loss for the Dolphins. Myrtle Grove Curves 6, GBSA Messer 4: Taylor Thomas went 3-for-3 with a double and scored three times for Messer in a loss to Curves. Megan Hoffman, Reagan Raley and Quinlyn Bray all had two hits. GBSA Messer 14, TP Dolphins 3: Quinlan Bray went 3- for-3 with two home runs to lead Messer to a win over the Dolphins. Reagan Raley and Megan Hoffman both went 3-for-3 with two doubles and scored three times, while Hallie Hill went 2- for-3 and scored twice. Ally Smith and Sydney Phelps both had two hits and one run scoreed for the Dolphins. Maddie Atkinson singled and scored, while Caroline Lee had the team's only other hit. GBSA Karcher 13, Navarre Teal 11: Sophia Aviles went 4- for-4 and scored four times to lead Karcher over Teal. Meredeth McCurdy scored three times in the win, while Mary Elliott and Sam Karcher both scored twice. GBSA Messer 16, Bellview 5: Reagan Raley homered and scored twice, while Hallie Hill and Taylor Thomas both had four hits in Messer's win over Bellview. Megan Hoffman went 3-for-5 and scored three times, while Quinlan Bray went 3-for-4 and scored twice. Chyann Redmond and Ally Salazar Pena both went 2-for-4 and scored once. GBSA Karcher 12, Pace Yankees 2: Mary Elliott, Samantha Karcher, Meredith McCurdy, Maddie Grace McCurdy and Devon Elliott all scored twice in the win for Karcher. Paris Dupuis and Vittoria Brown both went 2-for-2. GBSA Karcher 9, NEP 6 GBSA Messer 11, Navarre Lime 7: Taylor Thomas and Megan Hoffman both went 3- for-3 and scored three times as Messer beat Navarre Lime. Maddy Etheridge and Vittoria Brown both had two hits, while Regan Rehn went 2-for-2 for Messer. Pace Showstoppers 9, GBSA Karcher 6: Samantha Karcher went 3-for-3 and scored twice as Karcher finished third in their bracket after their loss to the Showstoppers. Shelby Dunne, Maddie Grace McCurdy and Sophia Aviles all had two hits, while Vittoria Brown had three hits. 10-under A bracket GBSA Watts 13, Navarre Sharks 4: Kristen Watts threw a one-hitter and struck out seven as Watts beat the Navarre Sharks. Tara Dorlag and Lia Lampone both scored three times in the win, while Watts and Abby Gubernat both scored twice. Navarre Winn Haven 3, TP Jets 1: Olivia Printiss drove in Riley Robinson for the Jets' lone run against Winn Haven. TP Sharks 10, Molino 1: Sydney Ezelle threw a twohitter with 10 strikeouts and homered and scored twice in the win for the Sharks. Brooke Torraca and Bailey Anderson both had two hits, while Destini Ferraro and Jenny Watts both scored twice. GBSA Watts 5, Pace Patriots 4: Abby Gubernat scored twice, including the game-winner, in Watts' win over the Patriots. Tara Dorlag, Lia Lampone and Kristen Watts all scored once, while Alli Tate went 2-for-2. NEP Momar 21, GBSA Graves 0 Pace Barracudas 8, TP Sharks 0: Taylor Warnke walked for the Sharks' lone baserunner against the Barracudas. Myrtle Grove Pepsi 8, TPJets 7: The Jets left the tying run on third base in a loss to MG Pepsi. Susie Harris, Riley Robinson, Emily Simmering, Taelor Smith, Courtney Zak, Jordan Braden and Ashton Summers all scored in the loss. Molino 7, GBSA Graves 6 Navarre Thunder 6, TP Sharks 2: Bailey Anderson went 2-for-3, while Brooke Torraca and Ansley Segal scored in the Sharks' loss to the Thunder. Sydney Ezelle and Jenny Watts had base hits in the loss. NEP Momar 10, GBSA Watts 3: Tara Dorlag, Lia Lampone and Kristen Watts all scored in a loss to NEP Momar. Myrtle Grove Wildcats 13, TP Black Panthers 1: Mady Smith scored the lone run, while Sydney Andre, Aidan Nichols and Hannah Miller all had hits in the Black Panthers' loss to the Wildcats. GBSA Edlund 14, TP Black Panthers 10: Megan Hawkins tripled and hit a grand slam in Edlund's win over the Black Panthers. Kiersten Edlund went 2-for-2 and scored twice, while Brooke Ostrander, Emily Hoelflich, Starfish Holk and Kaitlyn Prezioso scored twice. Olivia Johnson, Aiden Nichols, Allison Von Brock and Gracie Vega all scored twice for the Black Panthers, while Erin Copeland and Mady Smith had one hit each. Victoria Hardman went 2-for- 2, while Pacyga scored three times in the win.
