Soundwave Band members make All-County Honor Band

Thirty-one Gulf Breeze High School band students were recently honored by being selected as members of the 2008 Santa Rosa All County Honor Band. Musicians from each school in the county auditioned and a total of 102 students from five schools were chosen based on their mastery of the audition music and their overall talent and skill.

For a week the Honor Band met together at Milton High School where they studied with visiting conductor Mr. Steven Moser, Professor of Music at the University of Southern Mississippi. The week's practice culminated in an Honor Band concert of five technically challenging and beautifully performed musical pieces.

Gulf Breeze's High School Honor Band members are:

Flutes: Neila Nicholson, Alicia Jeffrey, Elizabeth Patterson, Kathryn Gough, Sarah Potter and Jessica Bibeau
