Tax collector offers installment plan for 2008

As your Santa Rosa County Tax Collector, I would like to take this opportunity to make sure that everyone is aware of the availability of paying their taxes by using the Installment Plan. You may now choose to pay your 2008 taxes by taking advantage of this plan just as 1,260 Santa Rosa County taxpayers did for their 2007 taxes. The only qualifications are that your 2007 taxes must be $100 or greater per parcel and you must apply prior to May 1, 2008. An application is available by accessing our "on-line forms" section of www.robertmcclure.com and choosing form #21. Simply print out the form, complete, sign, and either mail or drop off at any one of our five convenient locations. We would also be glad to mail you an application if you do not have internet access. Simply call us at 983-1800 and request an Installment Plan Application form. If you choose to participate in the Installment Plan for 2008 taxes, you would make quarterly payments in June, September, and December of 2008 and your final payment would be due in March of 2009. Please realize that the four payments will not be equal due to varying discounts and the fact that the first two payments are based on 2007 taxes while the last two are based on 2008 taxes. Discounts are also allowed on installment tax payments per Florida Statutes.
