The weather is warming up and the fishing is hot

ABOVE: Four or five boats can be seen searching the waters off Portofino Resort for cobia.
AT RIGHT: Joe Williamson catches an abundance of Pompano near his family property east of Springhill Suites on Pensacola Beach. "The limit is six per person per day," Williamson advises. "You can keep them when they are between 11 and 20 inches, and only one over 20." Williamson grew up fishing pompano on the beach and credits his father, Ben, for his know-how. "I've learned everything I know about fishing from my father," he says with a smile. "My dad has taught me that the little ones are great right on the grill, and some of the bigger ones we even stuff with crabmeat. It's all good no matter how you cook them."
