Letters to the Editor
Gulf Breeze News covers more ground than others

I sure am thankful to have the Gulf Breeze News. Otherwise, how would I know what all the high school and GBSA teams were up to? Your paper also does a good job focusing on the details from local government that some of the area's bigger papers seem to miss. You'd think with all the extra people working in their newsrooms, they'd do a better job reporting on the community the claim to serve.

The other publications that try to cover Gulf Breeze focus on lighthearted human interest stories and miss some things that affect all of us.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to your paper in my mailbox, as opposed to being crumpled in my driveway, every week!

I'll never leave ALLTEL

Several weeks ago I read a letter to the editor about a customer who was mad they could not use the Alltel store bathroom. I have thought about it a lot, and I just want to say my piece.

I have done business with the Gulf Breeze Alltel store for over 15 years and find them to be very supportive and helpful. Many stores have inventory stored in the back of a store where the bathrooms are and I cannot help but believe that if the bathrooms are off-limits that is a good reason why. Nearly every item in that store is of a high value.

I recommend Alltel to my friends, and I use them for my business account. I would never go anywhere else - except to use the bathroom!

98 means traffic headaches

Why is it so hard to drive on 98? There was a time when you weren't risking your life to walk across that road. Now, even pulling out in to traffic is a daunting task. What are our legislators and local leaders doing to correct this situation? Why are there not any more connecting or relief roads along 98? These are some important questions that need to be answered.

Additionally, when did the accepted speed along the highway become 60 m.p.h.? I see people sitting in their cars trying to pull out with the most disgusting looks on their faces. THen the other day, after waiting 10 minutes to pull out of Beals', I realized my face had been twisted the same way. Something's got to give.
