See Internet sensation and country singer James Dupré tomorrow

On Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19, young country singer/songwriter James Dupré brings his incredible talent to The Fish House Deck Bar in downtown Pensacola, Florida. The show marks a major step forward for the artist, following the success of nearly 1 million hits and thousands of fans on his Youtube channel and Myspace page.

Fans on the internet simply thank him for taking the time to upload his original tracks and covers of their favorite songs, including hits by artists ranging from Jackson Browne to Randy Travis, even covers of Lifehouse and Hootie and the Blowfish. Said one online fan and fellow musician, "I can't imagine your (Dupré's) voice with a whole band... Now, whenever people say "I really love your voice and your music", I always think "Yea, but you haven't heard James Dupré!"

This weekend, fans will have a chance to see what all the hype is about as 'The James Dupré Band steps on the Fish House Deck Bar stage. The Fish House Deck Bar features a brand new, 3,500 square foot, million dollar addition with a stand-alone outdoor bar, covered amphitheater, fire-pit conversation area, and dance floor with a fantastic view of Pensacola Bay.

The first show kicks off Friday night at 8 p.m., followed by a second night at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Guests of all ages are welcome to attend both nights. UWF presents "Guys and Dolls"

The University of West Florida Center for Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) and Department of Theatre will present "Guys and Dolls" with music by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows continues through April 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. and April 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Mainstage Theatre at the CFPA, Building 82. Tickets cost $16 per person for adults, $12 per person for senior citizens, active military and UWF faculty and staff and $10 per person for non-UWF students. UWF students are admitted free with their Nautilus cards.

Based on a story by Damon Runyon, "Guys and Dolls" tells the story of a group of small town gamblers and the ladies in their lives. The show features Broadway classics which include "Luck Be a Lady," "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat" and "Adelaide's Lament." The original Broadway production opened on November 24, 1950, to ecstatic reviews and won seven Tony Awards.

The UWF production is directed by Kevin P. Kern, assistant professor of theatre, with musical direction by Timothy Kennedy which will feature a full orchestra under the conduction Richard Glaze, associate professor in the Department of Music and choreography by Los Angeles guest artist, Sharyn Gabriel. The set is designed by guest designer, Jarod Wilson, with costumes by Glenn Avery Breed, assistant professor of theatre and lights by Charles Houghton, chair of the Department of Theatre.

T. Bubba to perform at Pensacola Beach church

T. Bubba Bechtol's benefit performance will be April 26 at 6 p.m. at Pensacola Beach Community Church. The church is located on Via DeLuna Drive at the corner of Avenida 18. Tickets are $20 and all proceeds go towards building of the new

Pensacola Beach Community Church Fellowship Hall. WSRE presents André Rieu with the Strauss Orchestra

WSRE is gearing up to welcome André Rieu and The Strauss Orchestra to the Pensacola Civic Center on April 24, 2008, 8 p.m., for the second time as they tour the U.S. Rieu was so impressed by the tremendous support for the 2006 concert, that he decided to include Pensacola on his 2008 tour. He is an avid PBS supporter and has expressed his excitement about playing in Northwest Florida and joining together classical music fans and PBS supporters once again. "My orchestra consists of young, enthusiastic musicians who put their heart and soul into the music every evening…you'll see me and the orchestra, and the audience, too, all having a lot of fun together," claims Rieu. André Rieu offers the audience a magical experience and an evening unlike any other.
