Four members of the Lady Dolphin softball program were recognized for the efforts over the years on Senior Night March 31.

It was the game that wasn't as memorable as five errors in the fifth inning alone helped Catholic beat the Lady Dolphins 8-1.

The Lady Dolphins took a 1-0 lead in the third when Lyndsey Wright drew a leadoff walk and scored on a groundout by Claire Koontz.

Alison Milam beat out an infield single to set the stage for Koontz. Kori Ewens' single in the seventh would be the only other hit from that point on for Gulf Breeze, who allowed only one hit in the decisive fifth inning.

Catholic, who tied it up in the top of the fourth, added three more in the sixth on a home run by Amber Ingram.

Both Milam and Ewens went 2-for-3 in the loss. Freshman Adrian Culpepper had the team's only other hit - a leadoff single in the second.

Seniors Catherine Lewis, Anna Schundelmier, Tess Waggoner and scorekeeper Ashley Thibodeaux were honored before the game.
