Optimist Beach Ball
Relive the '70s at this year's

Get your '70s glam on for the 2008 Pensacola Beach Optimist's Beach Ball on April 25.
An outbreak of disco fever and the boogie woogie flu is predicted for Friday, April 25 as the Pensacola Beach Optimist Club hosts its annual Beach Ball at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front.

Featuring the theme, "Fantasy Island, a visit to the 70s," the Beach Ball will again offer dinner, dancing and exciting opportunities to win $5,000 in cash and prizes at a drawing.

The fun event returns to the Hilton for the first time since Hurricane Ivan paid a visit to Pensacola Beach in 2004. Each year the Pensacola Beach Optimist Club hosts the event which benefits the Pensacola Beach Elementary School.

Wildwood, the band that rocked Pensacola Beach during the 1970s, will be on hand to play those super hits and a few songs from today as well.

Sponsorships are available for levels from $250 to $1,000 and include tickets and publicity.

Cocktail hour is from 6 to 7 p.m., dinner is served at 7 p.m. and dancing lasts till 11 p.m. Black tie attire is optional.
