Run For Their Lives 5K run/walk Saturday on Pensacola Beach

The Lakeview Center of Pensacola is sponsoring the Run for Their Lives 5K Run/Walk Saturday at 8 a.m. ion Pensacola Beach.

Cost is $15 for adults and children through Friday and $20 the day of the race. Proceeds will benefit the Trauma Recovery Program at Lakeview Center.

Race day packet pickup is in the pavilion parking lot on Pensacola Beach, starting at 6 a.m. For more information, call Erika Smith at 469-3942.

Running Wild for the Zoo 5K Saturday on Navarre Beach

The Running Wild for the Zoo 5K Run/Walk is Saturday at 8 a.m. on Navarre Beach. The race, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Navarre is $25, with the one mile fun run for only $10.

GBHS Quarterback Club seat renewals underway for 2008 season

GBHS Quarterback Club is offering renewals to those who had reserved seats during the 2007 season. Seats are $50 each and renewals will run through May 1.

GBSA Cheerleading registration underway

The Gulf Breeze Sports Association is holding late cheerleading registration for girls ages 5-14.

Links for Lindsey April 6 in Crestview

A Links for Lindsey Golf Tournament will take place April 6 at the Adara Golf Club in Crestview.

Three-year-old Lindsey Adams has retinoblastoma, a rare cancer that forms in the tissues inside one's retina.

The disease has already taken her left eye. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards Lindsey treatment on her right eye. Cost for the four-player scramble is $60 per person, which includes a meal.

Tiger Point Shoot Out Baseball Tourney April 11-13

The Tiger Point Sports Association will host the Tiger Point Shootout April 11-13.

The baseball tournament is for teams from 8-under to 14- under. Teams will play a minimum of two games in pool play on April 11-12, with a single elimination game on April 13. Trophies for first and second places will be awarded.

Woodlawn Beach Middle School 5K Run April 12

The second annual Woodlawn Beach Middle School 5K Run is April 12 at the school.

Late registration (March 29- April 11) is $15 and $20, respectively and is $25 the day of race for all ages.

Early registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt, while late registrants get a t-shirt on an availability basis. All proceeds will benefit programs at WBMS.

NABOR Golf Tourney April 18

The Navarre Area Board of Realtors Golf Tournament is April 18 at The Club at Hidden Creek. Cost for the tournament is $100 per player until April 12 and $120 after that.

Queen of Kings Fishing Tourney May 30-31

The Paradise Bar and Grill Inn will host the Paradise Queen of Kings Women's King Mackeral Tournament May 30-31.

The tournament, which will benefit the non-profit Reef Fish Restoration Foundation, is $150 per boat. Captain's Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on May 30, with the fishing immediately thereafter.

A minimum prize of $2,000 is guaranteed for the biggest fish, with a possible $500 prize for the biggest wahoo. For more information, call Joe Z at 516-0709.

Pelicans second annual commercial contest underway

The Pensacola Pelicans are calling on their creative fans to take part in their "Where Everyone Plays" TV Commercial Contest.

Groups or individuals are invited to submit a fully edited and produced 15-20 second TV commercial for the opportunity to win a cash prize up to $1,000 and a pair of season tickets.
