GB Middle teacher and students featured in commercial
FROM STAFF REPORTS Gulf Breeze News news@gulfbreezenews.com

Submitted photo JoAnn Considine, center, and some of her former students were recently featured in a TV commercial for Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida.
The spotlight came to Gulf Breeze Middle School (GBMS), Thursday, to tape JoAnn Considine and four of her former students, Torie Gray, Jennifer Mitchell, James Mozur, and Ryan Wan for a Junior Achievement DVD which will be sent to area schools as a recruiting tool. Considine, a seventh grade geography teacher, has been involved with having Junior Achievement volunteers come into her classes for eight years now.

"It's a wonderful program that teaches fundamental business and economic concepts to students," says Considine. "The volunteers bring real life experience to the classroom where students discover how businesses operate throughout the world. My JA program, The Global Marketplace, coincides perfectly with my World Geography curriculum. Today was such a fun experience for the kids, I think they are definitely ready for Hollywood," she says.

Ryan Wan, an eighth grader at GBMS, was also chosen as Middle School Ambassador for the Junior Achievement Program of Northwest Florida. Ryan participated in the Junior Achievement Program while in seventh grade in Considine's Geography class. Being an Ambassador gave him the chance to star in another commercial that has been airing often promoting the Junior Achievement Program of Northwest Florida.

If interested in volunteering for the Junior Achievement Program please contact JoAnn Considine at Gulf Breeze Middle School.
