City declared fiscally sound by independent audit

Gulf Breeze City Council accepted the 2007 fiscal year financial audit performed by O'Sullivan Creel at a City Audit Review Meeting March 26.

Kevin Bowyer, partner, O'Sullivan Creel, presented the audit information to the council and declared the city financially sound, and with "no material defects" found.

"There are no problems with the city's policies or procedures," he said. He noted debt increases were mostly attributable to the hurricane related expenses and the rebuilding process.
