GBSA baseball season starts

The Gulf Breeze Sports Association's T-Ball, baseball and softball seasons got underway last week. The following is a recap of all games where first and last names were listed in the scorebooks.

Rookie League

Ueberschaer 11, Ellis 6

Jarrod Allard went 2-for-3 and scored twice in the loss for Ellis.

Brandon 10, Williams 4

Matthew Hawkins went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored three times for Brandon, while Chandler Burtt went 3-for-3 and scored twice. Nick McCain went 2-for-3 and scored twice in the win.

Mayes 9, Garza 0

Gavin Mayes and Cayson McCurdy both went 3-for-3 and scored three times in the win for Mayes. Ben Zimmer and Daniel Green both had three hits and a run scored.

Goodroe 27, Ueberschaer 12

Minor League

Peg Leg Pete's 11, Grace 1

Jace Amberson went 3-for-3 with two triples and scored three times, while Zane Gill went 3- for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored in the win.

Xavier Arant and Bo Fabbro both scored twice in the win, while Blake Fournie singled and scored the lone run for Grace.

Colston 3, Gill 2

Tristan Covell, Adam Colston and Julian Gordon all scored runs in the win, while T.J. Durst scored for Hill, while Corey Nolan hit a two-run triple.

Baynes 13, Proctor 1 Matthew deMahy, Parker Baynes, Brett Pardonner and Kyle Rutledge all scored twice in the win, while Cole Sheppard scored the lone run for Proctor.

Peg Leg Pete's 7, Joyce 4

Jace Amberson went 2-for-2 and scored three times, while Zane Gill went 3-for-3 with a double and scored once for Peg Leg's.

Nathan Olsen scored twice, while Sam Joyce went 2-for-2 and scored once.

Major League Curington 9, Crooke 6

Curington 10, Newell 4

Garner Curington and Derek Krepp both went 2-for-3 and Robbie McLin homered in the win.

Nick Duggar and Mason McCluskey both went 2-for-3 and scored once, while Dylan Stamenkovich scored twice.

Senior League

Taylor 6, Burke 3

Halston Michaud went 2-for- 3 and scored three times, while J.R. Schultz went 3-for-3 and scored twice for Taylor.

Preston Sellers and Chris Taylor both went 2-for-3, while James Mozur scored twice for Burke. Kyle Koester singled and scored once.

Higley 7, Flores 5

T.J. Baughn went 2-for-3, including the game-winning hit in the seventh.

Maury Goldstein scored twice in the win, while Wes Demotts scored twice for Flores.

Burke 7, Tiger Point Torraca 5

Blake Meredeth and Matt Bayer both doubled and scored twice for Burke. Brandon Helm and Michael Robinson both had a hit and a run scored.

Higley 9, Taylor 5

NOTE: Softball books were unavailable at press time.
