Cleaver pre-files for District 1 seat

Samuel "Sam" Cleaver has pre-filed for the position of Santa Rosa County Commissioner, District 1 Republican candidate.

Cleaver said he is running to ensure that his 4-year old daughter will find Santa Rosa County a nice place to live when she graduates.

Cleaver said his 15 years of management experience as a small business owner in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties qualifies him to do long term forecasting, planning and the ability to lead Santa Rosa County through planned and controlled growth management. He wants to recruit of industry, develop infrastructure and provide the necessary training and manpower for the county's fire and sheriff's departments, while working with our budget constraints.

"I am not saying it will be easy, and I am not saying it will happen over night, but with proper planning it can be accomplished, " Cleaver said.

Cleaver lives in Pace with his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" and daughter, Alana.

Also prefiled for the seat are incumbent Thomas F. Stewart and Clayton M. Miller.
