Storm, Wave, U14 Dolphins win GBSA Preseason Classic

Several Gulf Breeze based team won their age divisions at the fifth annual Gulf Breeze Sports Association's Preseason Classic March 2 at Shoreline Park.
The U14 Dolphins won the 13-14 year old boys division, beating the Navarre Heaters 13-6.
The Dolphins scored six in the first and after the Heaters pulled to within 8-4, added five more in the fifth.
Dusty Jones hit a two-out, two-run homer in the first, also scoring Dane Locklin, who walked.
Cameron Davies doubled and scored when Caleb Catyb reached on an error in the third. Trey Baker added an RBI single in the Dolphins' five-run fifth.
Heaters 12,

James Mozur had GBSA's lone hit (a single) and scored the fourth, while Mark Higley scored the team's other run in the third.
Dolphins 15,
Slammers 2
Locklin had three hits, including a triple, and scored three times, while Jones went 2-for-2 and scored three times to lead the Dolphins over the Slammers.
Mitchell deKozan and Max McDaniel both scored twice, while Taylor Busbee went 2-for-3 and scored once.
GBSA 11,
Pensacola Chaos 10
Westin DeMotts' bases loaded single scored Mitchell Delgado for the game-winning run for GBSA over the Chaos.
Demotts went 4-for-4 and scored twice, while Mozur, Higley and Parker Frost all went 2-for-3. Blake Meredeth scored twice.
Dolphins 13,
Slammers 4
Andrew Jurnovoy and Kyle McGee both scored three times in the win, while Jones went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Locklin also scored twice for the Dolphins.
Luke Niles and Gray Dorsey both scored twice in the Heaters' 23-3 win over the Chaos. Niles also had two hits.
GBSA 10, Chaos 4
Meredeth and Alex Meade both had a hit and scored twice as GBSA beat the Chaos.
Dolphins 18, GBSA 2
Busbee, McDaniel and deKozan all had three hits to lead the Dolphins past GBSA.
Locklin had two hits and scored three times, while McGee and Jones both scored twice. Emo Diaz and Chris Taylor both had two hits for GBSA, while Preston Sellers and Demotts both walked and scored a run.
Wave win again
The U10 Wave won their second consecutive tournament, beating the Navarre Raiders 16- 1 in the title game.
The Wave scored four in the first and 12 in the second to end the game on the 15-run mercy rule.
Chance Dyer, Julian Gordon and Jacob Box all had run scoring singles in the first inning. Jace Amberson, Gordon, Adam Colston all had RBI singles in the second inning, while Matthew deMahy's single plated two runs. Dyer had an RBI double in the inning, while Zane Gill hit a three-run triple.
Gill threw a one-hitter and struck out four in the win.
Wave 10, Tiger Point 10s 2
Sam Joyce, Gill, Dyer and Gordon all had two hits in the Wave's win over the Tigers.
Matt Cronin and Jacob Cross both had two hits for Tiger Point, while Harrison Fleming and Ryan Catyb scored the runs.
Wave 9, Navarre Raiders 0
Dyer, Amberson, Colston and Joyce combined to no-hit the Raiders.
Dyer singled, doubled and tripled in the win and scored twice, while Niles added a tworun double.
Joyce went 3-for-4 and scored twice with two RBIs, while Gill had a single, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Wave 10, Tiger Point 10s 1
Gill and Niles both had two hits as the Wave beat the Tigers in the tournament opener. Joyce scored three runs, while Colston scored twice.
Cronin singled and scored Tiger Point's lone run. Cross, Tommy Hagarty and Fleming had the team's other base hits.
Storm edge Tigers
in 7-8 final
Joshua Hoffman's one-out single scored Thomas Goodroe as the Gulf Breeze Storm beat the Tigers 13-12 in the 7-8 year old final.
Tiger Point led 3-0 in the first inning with the help of singles by Bobby Murphy and Nicky Myers. Murphy had three hits in the game, while Myers had two.
Deems Edlund, who had three hits for the Storm, drove in Connor Thompson with a double in the bottom of the first.
Thompson hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth, scoring both Nick McCain and Luke Stringfellow. McCain went 2-for-2 and scored twice, while Stringfellow went 3-for-3 and scored twice.
Daniel Green singled and scored in the fourth for the Storm, while Stringfellow hit a two-run triple in fifth, scoring McCain and Matthew Hawkins.
Dylan Brayton hit an RBI double in the sixth for Tiger Point, who tied it at 12 before the Storm won it in the bottom half.
Gavin Mayes and Brent Williams both had two hits in the win for the Storm.

Gulf Breeze 7s 2
Myers hit a three-run homer as part of a 3-for-3 game, while Will Sawarynski had two hits and two runs scored for the Tigers.
Tiger Point 10,
Navarre Raiders 7
Myers scored three times and Murphy twice as Tiger Point got by the Raiders.
Storm 21, Gulf Breeze 7s 4
Stringfellow, Josh Smith, Edlund and Jesse Grant all scored three times as the Storm beat the younger GBSA 7 year olds.
Thompson, Green, Goodroe, Mayes, Luke Ellis, Hoffman and McCain all scored twice, while Jacob Brandon singled and scored once.
Chance Napier had two hits and two runs scored for the 7 year olds, while Joseph McPhetridge, Clay Clifton and Spencer Wirth had a hit and a run scored.
Storm 17,
Navarre Raiders 17
Grant hit a home run and scored twice, while Smith had five RBIs and scored four times as the Storm tied the Raiders in pool play.
Storm 12,
Tiger Point Tigers 10
Smith had three hits and three runs scored to lead the Storm past the Tigers.
U12 Yankees go 2-1
The Gulf Breeze Yankees won two of three games in the 11-12 year old division.
Yankees 2,
Navarre Hurricanes 1
Nick Morgan got the win with three scoreless innings and four strikeouts. Michael Neal and Benji Diaz were both 2-for-3.
Yankees 9, Destin Tide 6
Taylor Baynes got the win with two earned runs and five strikeouts in four innings pitched. Andy Creech had two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored.
Myrtle Grove Gators 7,
Yankees 4
Creech struck out six in three innings. Baynes had a double and two runs scored and an RBI.
