Target preps Tiger Point site

It's semi-official, Target is planning to open a new store in the Tiger Point area, east of the Garcon Point bridge, north of U.S. 98. Documents obtained from the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) confirmed a developer submitted plans for a 127,000 square foot store and over 500 parking spaces. A permit application was sent to the DEP in December of 2006 and is expected to impact 2.25 acres of wetlands. Nothing official was submitted to the county offices as of press time.
