St. Ann hosts citywide prayer service The Community of Praise prayer group invites you to join them and other Pensacola area prayer groups for a Prayer Service led by Fr. Eugene Pathe at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 10 in the Church at 100 Daniel Drive, Gulf Breeze. Gulf Breeze Methodist releases schedule Alzheimer's Support Group for Caregivers will be held Thursday, March 13, 10 a.m. at the Main Campus of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church (75 Fairpoint Drive.) Alzheimer's Family Services has started a support group for the loved ones of Alzheimer's patients for the community members of Gulf Breeze. There is no charge for the group and no reservations are required. If you have any questions please contact Courtney Cook at 478-7790. Most groups start at 6:15 pm and all are finished by 7:45 pm. Call Jim Bell at 916-1660 if you have any questions. Sharing and Caring, a ministry for Senior Adults, will meet Monday, March 10, 11 a.m. \ in the Gilmore Fellowship Hall-Main Campus. The program will be "Magic Moments" with Bo the Magician. The menu: Shepherd's pie, garden salad, yeast rolls and lemon meringue pie for dessert. Dining music by Maxine Gray. The cost is $ 3. Children will get hands-on experiences of life in Jerusalem and Jesus' journey to the Cross at the Jerusalem Marketplace Sunday, March 9, 9:30-11 a.m. on the main campus. Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church will start construction on the 20th Habitat home opening with a blessing of the foundation before we begin any construction Saturday, March 8, 7:45 am, at 1866 Justice Drive, Gulf Breeze Those who would like to volunteer to be a part of the work crew, help provide breakfast, lunch or drinks, or have any questions regarding Habitat for Humanity or the location of the site, should call Terrye at 850-932-3594. Adult Basketball League registration runs thru March 7 at the Community Life Center. Beginning on March 18 and ending with a tournament on May 18, games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. The cost is $50 per person or $400 for a team of 10 or less. St. Ann hosts speaker Hotstream Brother John Hotstream, who runs the St. Anne mission on the Navajo Reservation in Klagetoh, Az., will come for a visit March 9, and speak at all Masses at St. Ann in Gulf Breeze. He was a high school teacher for 35 years at St. Stanislaus, Bishop Toolen School in Mobile, and other high schools before becoming director at St. Anne's Mission 15 years ago. Cathy and Chuck Porter are among the parishioners who have taken mission trips to Klagetoh to help Brother John with various projects, including spiritual growth and development based on the 12 steps of AA, with an emphasis on scripture. Moms in touch at GBUMC Moms in Touch prayer group forms for moms of Gulf Breeze elementary and middle school aged students. What is Moms in Touch? A group of moms who meet each week to pray for their children, school, teachers, and staff. It is nondenominational and not affiliated with any particular church. The purpose of Moms in Touch is to pray for children and to pray that the schools be guided by biblical values and high moral standards.
