Beach Optimists plan April fundraiser
'Fantasy Island' is theme of Beach Ball

The Optimist Club of Pensacola Beach is busy planning the Beach Ball 2008, "Fantasy Island, a visit to the 70s."

The event will be Friday, April 25 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front, a dinner and dancing event featuring live entertainment by Pensacola Beach favorites, "Wildwood."

The annual fundraising event changes themes every year and is a social event with a mission to raise money for Pensacola Beach Elementary School and other youth and community projects.

Besides the Beach Ball's revelry, there will be a $5,000 cash and prizes drawing. Only 100 tickets are sold and they are $100 each.

Sponsorships are available. Platinum sponsorship is $1,000 and includes four admission tickets. Gold sponsorship is $500 and includes two admissions. Silver sponsorship is $250 and includes one admission.

Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., dinner begins at 7 p.m. and dancing lasts until 11 p.m. Black Tie is optional. Cost to attend is a $65 donation.
